![]() ![]() The Chroma Key and screen features allow this application to read the green screen in real-time. ![]() The application is Apple-specific and is absolutely free to download. The only drawback with the application is that you cannot import projects and the project should be real-time whether be video or image. The feature that makes Chromavid stand out from the applications is the social sharing button and video shoot on the Chrome key option. These include Chroma Key effects like more Chroma colours, unlimited recording time and image merge functions. The application is paid but despite the minimum charge, it gives some top-notch features. You get his e-mail and phone number and can reach him pretty much any time.Another popular application in the market will give a hassle-free experience for both videos and images. NEAT! Also, unlike FX, which is off-shore based (you have to wait 24 hours to get a reply-e-mail only), GSW support is manned by the man-Ken Colby. I am sticking with it because, unlike FX, that charges you a couple hundred bucks with each and every upgrade, GSW comes with lifetime updates. Again, first-time user, so my opinions are subject to change the longer I use the program. I bought this software for my event photography, so I have yet to try it for that. ![]() This one comes close, but it's still a blunt tool. This tool appears to be better at masking out the green in clothing and such, much easier than FX, in which you have to go through the painstaking process of point and clicking all around the area-very time-consuming!!! GSW has a MUCH better shadow tool than FX, which is, frankly, quite laughable, however, NONE of the green screen programs out there can render a totally realistic full-length subject due to the "paper-cutout" look of the shadow (real shadows fall off, becoming more diffuse the further away from the subject). With GSW ya gotta load 'em one at a time and output one at a time, which is pretty frustrating and a real time-waster if you have many images process in a short time. I am a longtime user of FX Photokey and am used to loading a bunch of images in at once and having the ability to output everything at once with the same settings. This is a great tool for extracting images, however, photoshop's "select and mask" does an equal or better job. I am a new user, so these are my first impressions. ![]()
